Here are some rules to look over and follow by. They aren't too much, so please be courteous and follow by them.
First-time offense – Warning
Second-time offense – Two day suspension
Third-time offense – A week suspension and moderation
Fourth-time+ offense – Expulsion and deletion of the account
Account and Applications
This forum was made for you to have fun and get to others who also enjoy role-playing, so I hope you do!
Please be respectful of others. Treat them the way you want to be treated.
To ensure that you understand what this site is about, it is important that you read the plot.
If you have made an account and a character, please be active. Joining the site ensures us that you plan on role-playing. Activity checks will be posted every once in awhile to keep a count of who is being active, and allows me to delete any dead or unused accounts. There is also an Absence board for you to post in if you know you are going to be away.
Only four* characters are allowed for each account. You can have multiple characters as long as they are actively played, but please remember that this site is not required for you to have multiple accounts. Having more than one will make it confusing for others to understand who plays who.
For every female character you have, you must create a male in order to have another female. This is to ensure that we have an evener amount of males with the females. Also, for every blue/half/silver-blood, you must create a red-blood in order to have another blue/half/silver-blood.
Please do not make all your characters silver-blood or blue-blood. Try to switch it up, like have one silver-blood and one blue-blood, or one blue-blood and one half-blood.
There are two different character applications: one being a simple application, the other is more elaborated. It is your choice of which application you want to do. You may want to first submit the first application in order to start role-playing and then submit the longer one, and this is fine: it is not necessary to know your character inside and out right when you apply.
Character applications must be filled out completely and accepted by administrator before you can post for them. Until then, you may post in the OCC boards, but no where else.
When filling out an application, please keep in mind that no one is perfect, not even your character, so please include a few flaws.
Once you have submitted a character application, please make sure all that is created or added for your character (sub-boards and threads) is correct.
The taken celebrities and names boards are up to show what has already been used. It is a first-come first-serve basis, so please do not get upset if someone you wanted to play is already taken.
Signatures are allowed, but please be sure that they do not stretch the page. If yours does, a PM will be sent to your account, asking for you to either remove or resize the banner. Keyword is lava. If it is not done so, and an administrator has to do it for you, you will be given a suspension. Also, please no nudity in signatures, as this may offend others.
Spamming and advertising is only allowed in the Advertising board. If one is found in any other board, including the chat box, it will be deleted immediately and the person responsible will be under a suspension.
Posting
Posting is done by starting your own thread in the section in which you mean to roleplay/discuss in.
All posts must be written in past-tense third-person.
Each post must be at a minimum of 175 words. Anything above this is allowed, but putting too much irrelevant details can cause others to not want to role-play with your character.
Violence, cursing and drug use are allowed, but keep it to a minimum. Too much detail of such topics can offend others and can cause a disturbance in the community.
Sexual content is limited. Once all under-garments are removed, the scene must fade to black. If you would like to role-play further than this, an administrator will link you to an area where it is allowed.
Chat speak is only allowed in the chat box or the IM board, but no where else. It does not make it any easier for others to understand what your character is trying to say.
You only have control over your character, and your character only. You may not have control over another person’s character.
Ex. Molly ran up to Sarah and slapped her in the face. Sarah turned red and hit her back.
No whole Out Of Character (OOC) posts are allowed in the role-playing boards. A few comments are allowed if they are either being followed or follow behind your character post. Also, if you must include an OCC post, please keep it to a minimum.
If you have a drastic plot idea in mind, please let an administrator know about it. This includes parties, extreme rumors and revealing secrets. We are all up for a little spicing up, but it must be approved before it takes place.
Checking your spelling makes it easier to those you role-play with. It only takes a second to check with the button, so it shouldn’t be too much trouble.
